Guide to Gorgeousness: Fifteen Fashion Tips I Followed
1. Jean Transfer: Shift to maternity jeans! Invest in a couple of pairs that have a soft, elasticated waistband around the tummy—it’s a huge help. I really enjoyed the snug feeling that my baby is taken care of and my stomach is supported. The jeans and tracks with T-shirts work best for pregnancy.
2. Dressing Down: At times, you may want to sit comfortably with your legs up or apart because of your bump, so slacks, cotton pants or maternity jeans would be a good option with a nice, loose shirt. When at home, at work or running errands, dress practically. Keep the fashionable dresses for parties.
3. Getting Shorty: Many women like wearing loose shorts so they can keep their legs free but I was always more of a pyjama girl. I wore loose trackpants with expandable soft elastic. I never liked showing off my legs to the help at home. But nowadays, most women are comfortable in shorts. What’s more, their legs look great even during pregnancy! Short cotton dresses look very cute and casual. So if you feel like flaunting your legs, go ahead, get shorty!
4. Desi Duds: Patiala salwars are the best thing for the Indian weather. They are loose, they are soft and they cover your legs. Wearing them with a short cotton kurta and a bright dupatta can make you look rather cheery and stylish.
5. Side Orders: Always wear nice earrings, bangles, rings and so on. It makes you feel a little chic and glams up your outfits. Knot a scarf around your neck or wrap a colourful dupatta around your head. Bling it up! Be careful though that trailing accessories don’t get caught anywhere.
